» CONNECT FAILURE ?
  • During installation, McGruff SafeGuard failed to connect to the McGruff SafeGuard Website on my child's PC

Your Internet security software (anti-spyware or anti-virus or personal firewall) is preventing McGruff SafeGuard from communicating with the McGruff SafeGuard website.

Most Internet security software packages will pop-up a window asking you if its OK for the program to access the Internet.  In this case, you need to answer ALWAYS ALLOW, instead of DENY or BLOCK.  If you answered wrong, McGruff SafeGuard will NOT be able to function properly.

Some Internet security software packages are set, by default, to ALWAYS BLOCK programs from accessing the Internet.  In this case, you need to tell the Internet security software package to ALWAYS ALLOW McGruff SafeGuard programs to access the Internet.
