• How do I set up CA eTrust to work with McGruff SafeGuard?

  There are two versions of CA eTrust:

  • Personal eTrust  - that you installed on your child's PC
  • Enterprise eTrust - that your child's school installed on your child's PC

  If you installed eTrust on your child's PC, you need to answer the questions eTrust may prompt you with to allow the McGruff Safeguard programs to operate properly.

  If your child's school installed eTrust on your child's PC, then McGruff SafeGuard will probably not work, and you cannot modify eTrust to allow it to work.  After you install McGruff SafeGuard, other parents have told us that eTrust uninstalls most products, including McGruff SafeGuard,  within 24 to 48 hours.  If you decide to uninstall eTrust, you need to use another anti-spyware / anti-virus product.  DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILD'S PC UNPROTECTED.
