- You should install McGruff SafeGuard
on your child's PC.
- McGruff SafeGuard works with
Microsoft Windows 7, Windows XP and Vista. It does
not work with Mac or Windows ME.
- It does not need to be installed on
your PC.
- You need to be logged in as
ADMINISTRATOR
- If you share a PC with your child,
just install it on the PC.
- You do not need to install it for
each person who uses the PC. Once its installed it will
record your child's activity.

After you downloaded McGruff SafeGuard, you need to install
it. If you have not installed it yet, click here: Download

The first step in installing McGruff SafeGuard is to run the
downloaded program usually called popHome.exe. When
you start the installation, you will see a screen like:

Click RUN, and after the download has completed, you
will see a screen like:

SafeGuard.
INSTALLING
Installation: After started the installation, two windows
popup. The first one may have brought you here. It
looked like:

The other window may be hidden by this window.
It is the program that actually does the installation.

After McGruff SafeGuard have been installed, McGruff SafeGuard will
configure itself. This can take up to 5 minutes.
You will first be asked for your McGruff
SafeGuard account name:
McGruff SafeGuard configures itself, and it may cause
your anti-virus or anti-spyware software to pop-up a message
requesting permission for McGruff SafeGuard programs to be allowed
to run. Always answer ALLOW or PERMIT.
Once McGruff SafeGuard has finished configuring itself, it pops
up a window similar to:
McGruff SafeGuard is now installed and operational on your
child's PC. It will start monitoring each of your children
on the PC as each child starts using the PC.
To view your child's activity on your PC (or
your work PC, or your child's PC), visit the website:
www.GoMcGruff.com
and click on PARENTS LOGIN.
Sign-in with your account name and password.
