How to use the
McGruff SafeGuard website - Buttons at the top of the
screen: |
 |
The Home button gives you a summary of
your child's activity. |
 |
The Chat button lets you view
conversations, search conversations, view info about people who chat with
your child, export conversations and report predators. |
 |
The Websites button lets view web
activities including websites visited,
terms your child searched for, activity on social networks, keystrokes and overall
usage. |
 |
The Email button lets view emails. |
 |
The Usage button shows you which users
are monitored and how much they use the Internet. |
 |
The Alerts button lets you select which
alerts you want to receive via email and how often you want to receive
them. It lets you set the activites that you want to be alerted on. |
 |
The Violations button shows you the
violations that caused an alert to be emailed to you. |
 |
The Control button lets control instant
messaging, websites, programs on the PC. |
 |
The Upgrade button upgrades you to
McGruff SafeGuard Plus. |

Viewing
activity: |

When viewing conversations, the following
icons appear to the left of each conversation: |
 |
The chat or instant message conversation has
not been viewed yet. |
 |
The chat or instant message conversation has
already been viewed. |
|
|
|
Each of the conversations are listed on the
left panel, and the contents of the conversation is listed in
the right panel.
Click on any of these buttons at the top of the right panel: |

Click on the refresh button to refresh the list
of conversations or the contents of a conversation. This
is most often used when viewing a conversation that is
occurring as you are watching it. |

Click on the printer to print the
conversation. (McGruff SafeGuard Plus, Family only) |
 |
Email this conversation to yourself or someone
else. (McGruff SafeGuard Plus, Family only) |

Copy conversation to paste it elsewhere.

Messages are displayed from oldest to
newest. Click to display from newest to oldest. |

Messages are displayed from newest to

Time of each message is not displayed.
Click to display time of each message. |

Removing

Sign-in to the McGruff SafeGuard
website, and click HELP. |
